PRECONCEPTION PREPARATION PROGRAMME
I have designed a treatment programme for couples planning a pregnancy or couples who are having difficulty conceiving. Emphasis will be on a healthy conception and pregnancy, not just getting pregnant.
The programme is planned for 12 weeks. This is the time it takes for a female egg to mature and the male sperm to develop. An information pack about diet and lifestyle changes will be provided to the client/s. During this time couples should pay attention to diet, supplementation lifestyle and exercise taken, as all of these areas influence the health of their eggs/sperm. It is important that potential parents do everything they can to optimise the health of the eggs/sperm so that they give their baby the best start in life.
The treatment schedule doesn’t have to end at 12 weeks it may be continued by the client. This is the minimum period that I recommend for this plan.
There are clients who have followed their individual plan and within this time frame they have achieved a pregnancy. Comments can be reviewed on the testimonial page.
Infertility can often be the result of a combination of several underlying conditions such as stress or poor diet. It is important to bring balance and relaxation to the body to help each person rejuvenate, detox and let the body prepare for conception.
Each week the treatment plan is reviewed to find out how each person is responding; what experiences they have had; what feedback they may have. The programme is therefore dynamic, individual and can be adjusted as it progresses to achieve the best result.
It’s necessary for each individual to acknowledge that the plan must be followed, to be committed to making some lifestyle changes and continuing self care treatments between appointments. These could include relaxation, meditation etc. It is inadvisable to undergo other therapies during this programme without consulting me, as they may interfere with the effectiveness of the programme.
Generally women, when pregnant, will give up bad habits and take on many healthier options for the health of their baby. Their husbands are very supportive of this as they too want the best for their child. Crucially though many people don’t realise that a healthy lifestyle should be adopted at least 3 to 4 months prior to conception to ensure they produce the optimum eggs and sperm for a healthy baby.
The Treatment plan involves
• Fertility supplements
• Weekly Fertility Reflexology
• Naturopathic castor oil packs as appropriate for female client
• Fertility charting as appropriate
• Other recommended websites and resources for use at home – meditation and visualisation.
