BACH FLOWER REMEDIES
Dr Edward Bach (pronounced Batch) dedicated his life to the healing of the sick and to discovering a harmless and simple means of restoring good health. He was an eminent Bacteriologist, Homoeopath, and Physician, a man well ahead of his time.
He ran a practice in Harley Street as well as a research laboratory in London. He was dissatisfied with the methods used to treat the mental and emotional states of patients by the medical profession. This inspired him to devote the remainder of his life to discovering a means of achieving emotional balance. His work concluded with the discovery of 38 flower remedies, each of which targets a different mood, emotion or personality type. Their action is to subtly restore equilibrium between mind, body and spirit by helping the sufferer overcome negative attitudes. The remedies do not directly treat physical illness but facilitate the creation of a state of mind conducive to health and happiness. This helps to give one’s whole system the positive environment to begin its own natural healing process. During a consultation the practitioner will assess the emotional/personality state of the client and tailor a personal treatment bottle to provide the appropriate balance. As the emotions shift further tailoring of treatment may be required to maintain balance. Bach flower remedies can be used in conjunction with any other medication without any contra-indications.
